Padawan originally to the Gand Jedi Master Qillon Kree, Quest was discovered as a young boy in a Kel Dor enclave on the capital world Coruscant. Son of a trade delegate to the Republic, Quest has spent little time on his homeworld of Dorin. While The Kel Dor enclave was made as hospitable as possible to his people — a large domed settlement in which the natural atmosphere of Dorin was allowed to predominate — he was nonetheless quite aware of his differences compared to the majority of oxygen-breathing sentients of the Republic. While his breath mask and goggles were an outward sign of his otherness, the most important difference was his awareness in the Force. Discovered during a delegation party to the Jedi Temple, Quest willingly left with the Jedi, his parents proud the Force would manifest itself in their son, and taken as Padawan by the Gand Master Kree.
Where Master Kree is introspective, Quest is deterministic, and where Kree is deliberate, Quest is eager to join in action. But the one thing both master and padawan shares is the belief that the best defense is a good offense. Thankfully Quest has not been challenged in this philosophy, but he is often the first into action.
Since graduating to full Jedi Knight status, Quest Fios has taken on two padawans of his own. The first was a Twi'lik orphan named Adon, whom he trained for five years, and who became a knight after the Battle of Ord Brokell at the start of the Mandalorian Wars. The second, who came to him after the Invasion of Zebulon Beta, was an Ithorian known as Iiluum Saldit.
